Frequently asked questions

Clear answers before we begin.

What to expect when working with Prism—from the first conversation through delivery, governance and handover.

Who does Prism Technologies work with?

We work with Australian mid-market organisations, small and growing businesses, and trades or field-service teams. The engagement model is adjusted to the organisation’s size, internal capability, risk profile and desired pace.

What problems can Prism help solve?

Typical priorities include identifying useful AI opportunities, reducing repetitive administration, improving cloud reliability, strengthening cyber controls, connecting systems and data, building software, and improving visibility across search and AI-generated answers.

What is a sensible first engagement?

Most relationships begin with a focused assessment, workshop or pilot. Examples include an AI opportunity and governance sprint, a workflow automation pilot, a cloud and cyber health check, or a search and AI visibility diagnostic.

Can you help a small business or trade business without an internal IT team?

Yes. We keep the language practical, reduce unnecessary platform complexity and shape solutions around the way work currently happens. Where ongoing managed support is required, the scope and service expectations are agreed before delivery.

How does Prism approach AI safety and governance?

We define ownership, permitted use, information boundaries, human review, evaluation, escalation and monitoring as part of the solution design. The depth of control is proportionate to the potential impact of the use case.

Are you tied to a particular cloud or software vendor?

No. Recommendations begin with the business requirement, current environment and total operating impact. Existing investments are considered before introducing another platform.

How long does an engagement take?

A focused assessment may take two to four weeks, while a pilot commonly takes four to eight weeks. Software, cloud and transformation delivery varies with scope, dependencies and assurance requirements. A written proposal confirms timing before work starts.

Do you publish client case studies?

Not without client approval and verified evidence. Until approved work is available for publication, the site describes representative solutions and intended outcomes rather than presenting invented client results.

How is pricing determined?

Pricing reflects the agreed scope, delivery model, specialist effort, dependencies and risk. Prism provides a written proposal or statement of work before paid services begin. Website content is not a quote or binding offer.

Can Prism work with our existing IT provider or internal team?

Yes. We can work alongside internal technology, operations and leadership teams, managed service providers, software vendors and other specialists. Responsibilities, access and decision rights are made explicit at the beginning.

What happens after a pilot or delivery?

We document material decisions, operating requirements and recommended next steps. Depending on the engagement, this may include knowledge transfer, a transition period, measurement, support options or a deliberate decision not to scale.

Where does Prism deliver services?

Prism is based in Melbourne and works with organisations across Australia. On-site requirements, travel and any location-specific constraints are agreed in the proposal.
